Think i’m done with nier automata. Working my way through route b and this game is such a pain in the ass. The stories and cutscenes are A1, but everything else surrounding it is just awful.

Probably the only negative thing I’ve seen of that game

 

Random thought but I’m really surprised Microsoft hasn’t bought Studio MDHR yet (Cuphead) one of those “we almost lost everything making this game” that I would assume do very well with first party backing.

 

Judgement doesn't have the "only on PlayStation" sign on it, it's coming to PC at some point then lol

 

They might not want to. Also isn’t it just like very few people? I wonder if they want to be so heavily dependent on people that could just walk away leaving behind an empty brand basically.

Stuff like the writing and performances are top tier. I can also greatly appreciate the ambition, particularly the style of game transitions, but mechanically I am having a downright bad time with it. As much as I want to go around and do all of these side quests, I don’t want to spend a minute more than I have to in this world from a gameplay perspective.

Yeah initially I think the dev team was entirely family until Microsoft gave them some money for console exclusivity.

 

The English dub in Judgement is hilariously bad I love it

 

Rewatching Blade 2 right now, and I forgot Norman Reedus was in this. The GDT cameo in Death Stranding makes more sense now

Weird year for games where I feel like there isn’t a single GOTY contender that everyone can rally behind. RE2, DMC5, Apex, Sekiro etc all the big hitters this year have been games that aren’t necessarily for everyone. Last year by this time we had God of War and Celeste that felt like clear front runners
