a bioshock INSPIRED film could be cool. But I think making movies based on narratives of other media just keeps people from appreciating the media it came from.

They were making one. The director of Pirates of the Caribbean was at the helm. There were arguments about the target audience and whether it would survive being R-rated. And money. Or lack thereof.

I just learned today that a Mario movie is happening so that’s wild.

 

I mean the Pokemon movie is killing it right now, so yeah, Mario was probably a good move too. But Nintendo IPs are on a different level as far as the general public is concerned, so it's probably easier to turn them into successful movies.

 

and for good reason.

I finally got around to watching the Mario Maker 2 direct and I'm honestly just in awe at Nintendo.

 

I saw Detective Pikachu a few days ago and it was a lot of fun. Definitely a must for Pokemon fans.
