Spider-Man 2 is still up there for me as well in terms of Spider-Man games. But It's hard for me not to pick Spider-Man PS4 as the best just because I really love the writing, characters, and performances in that game a lot.

But I would also rank Ultimate Spider-Man above Spider-Man 2, don't anyone dare @ me on this.

 

Apart from obvious “quality” differences due to age, I think both are very similar in terms of gameplay, but SM2 has way better indoor movement options (mostly due to what you can do with the web) than SMPS4. It was a better stealth game so to say. When your swinging through the city the new one is better simply because it’s newer.

 

It really was remarkable what they were able to accomplish on that hardware, both in terms of the scope of the open world and in terms of Spider-Man's moveset. It's still to this day a really fun game, it holds up for sure.

But Ultimate Spider-Man was better!

 

I'll just ignore that last part, luckily you made it easy

Been playing Judgement finally. I’m still early but I love it a lot and it feels different enough from Yakuza.

 

Took a little while to click but Hand of Fate 2 is really fun and a unique experience.

 

Ultimate Spiderman was way better

 

The only way Ultimate Spider-Man could've been better is if it had had the same web swinging system as SM2. It's such a forgotten gem of that generation.
