What’s the chorus hot take on the shrines in BOTW? I think they’re all cool even the less challenging ones.

Ive only ever watched someone play the new zelda but the shrines dissapointed me

The Shrines were a really cool idea that I liked a lot, but I wished there were more traditional dungeons in the game in addition to the Shrines. The Divine Beasts, while still technically dungeons, were too short and the environments were too same-y. Part of why the 3D Zeldas are so cool is the varied and creative dungeon locations that they have. Like the Sand Ship in Skyward Sword, Snowpeak Ruins in Twilight Princess, or Stone Tower Temple in Majora’s Mask. Explorable spaces like that was something BotW was missing for me.

I would agree that visually they were too same-y, but I much prefer the physics-y approach as well as the shorter length.
