I started playing Binding of Isaac and I am really bad at this game.

 

Played some rocket league today and the ping was super bad.

I also tried out the new mode and it was super fun but like I said the ping ruined it since good internet was crucial.

 

also my next single player game is going to be murdered soul suspect because I have no idea why I decided that.

 

tbph the idea that Aliens > Alien is a popular one that i do not understand at all. i guess maybe for folks who prefer the action to the horror, but Alien is just untouchable imo.

 

Aliens is a fun film, but the original Alien is at an entirely different level.

 

I mean I agree I'm just saying that's the general sentiment I hear?

Alien is probably my favorite sci-fi film

 

I saw the demons in murdered soul suspect for the first time and I was like "nope" so now I'm playing it with no sound.

 

me: complains about how sleeping dogs collectibles suck.

also me: proceeds to play murdered soul suspect which has even worse collectibles that I actually have to look for.

 

Yah no I get you but there's definitely a bunch of people that prefer Aliens

Lol I still have to 100% that game, after one of the side quests bugged out for me I knew I was gonna literally have to replay the game sigh. That's a tough one to assess for me, some good style and a wonderful feel to the world, but you see the underlying, ugly framework really quickly and the gameplay mechanics are simplistic at best.

 

The crazy thing is I had zero problems, so the only thing the big patch did for me is make it look worse

 

Finished Kona, a solid game with plenty going for it though a couple of flaws and a somewhat rushed ending did dent my overall enjoyment of the game. Now to move on to ME:A and the new DLC for Mafia III.

 

It's great, if not easy.

Wish they'd make something else :(

Persona 5 is gonna be my first foray into the series and I'm super excited about it. I'm hoping to finish up Nier before it comes out next week, though, and I have no idea how far I am/how much is left haha.

 

Most people said it's like 30 hours long so maybe able to determine how much you have left by that.

 

If you wanna throw where you are in spoilers I can give you a vague estimate, if you'd like.

You're somewhere around a third to halfway through the game, probably much closer to the former

 

Yeah I was just checking up on achievements and of course it's another buggy game like Sleeping Dogs.

I do really love the atmosphere of the game, it's super haunting where it made me afraid to just straight up walk into every room.

I'm just bummed on how the detective aspect isn't punishing like LA Noire.

 

Yeah, and occasionally it's so obscure it's nonsensical. LA Noire had trouble balancing that punishment, though, because it had an overarching story and interactions it didn't want to deviate from. So your boss would chew you out at the end of a botched case, and then be chipper the next one starting. So it's an interesting failure state to balance without planning out a more failure prone story.

 

If James Cameron can get to the bottom of the ocean he can definitely also hack Rotten Tomatoes. Wouldn't be the first thing he hacked either.

 

Welp I'm back to Destiny.

 

I've played the last few days. Forgot how tight the gameplay is. So good.
