Jazzpunk is maybe two hours long and one of my favourite games of the last decade. Florence is also one of my favorites and not more than 30 minutes long. But I also like 100 hour long RPGs or GTA-likes. It all depends on if the length is justified in some way. But money is tight right now, so I currently do consider length when actually buying games, especially full price.

 

Donut County is pretty good and pretty short.

 

Yeah combat system is absolute top priority for me for JRPGs, that's what I care about more than anything else.

 

Have you played Tokyo Mirage Sessions? The combat in that game is amazing. Some of the best turn based combat I have ever seen. Also combat is most of what you do.
