there are people who physically can’t hold controllers I know someone who literally can’t use a controller, like I said it’s fine if one is preferable over the other but it needs to at least run properly even if you choose to use mouse and keyboard

 

like I said, it just bothers me from the standpoint of accessibility and just points to why convos about “easy mode” miss the entire point of what accessibility is and what it means. the frame rate and stuttering issues are forgivable and expected due to having to put out a game across five platforms, that I completely understand and am patient about in terms of patching. day one tho I just don’t see an excuse why your game can’t run smooth specifically due to using a mouse and keyboard over controller. like mescaline pointed out the game having to slow down to stream due to the camera with m&k or whatever, I’ve just never heard of that being an issue on any other pc game with both mouse and keyboard and controller support. just my perspective though

 

I'll probably check it out eventually. I loved Bloodborne, but only when I played it all the way through on co-op. I don't think it's a fun experience for me as a single player game.

 

that said I think I did well enough at work tonight (I’m a waiter so I get paid in tips) to be able to buy it after my next two nights at work. so Sunday when I get off at 9 pm I’m hopping in and never looking back

 

I feel like of all the from games, it’s the least like Bloodborne. (Sekiro non withstanding)

feels like Demon’s Souls 2 to me.

 

becoming more mature is realizing that even 10's are still subjective. I'll never care about most Rockstar or Bethesda games and that's fine, the people who love them really love them. I don't need to try every GTA or Elder Scrolls these days to know they're not made for me.

 

A hunter with a crossbow would have the best accuracy on pc and now I need to see that kind of build

 

Some of you seem to have forgotten the unwritten gaming rule to never trust a Japanese game PC port out of the gate lol

 

Both dark souls 3 and Sekiro were fine so there was precedent.

as someone who has only played bloodborne, can't wait to dive in.

 

I'm 13ish hours in and the game is still growing on me with every minute.

That 97 metacritic might be justified lol

 

I'm like 4 hours in and I feel like it's probably going to be the most perfect open world ever for me. It's nailed the balance of being big enough to explore but still having interesting things showing up constantly. With small caves and shit as well as bigger dungeons.

Also as I've already said the mount is literally perfect for getting around quickly and easily.

 

Re steam deck, if I ever get one, it would just be a portable emulator machine

No. You just have to make sure the game uses the right graphics card and probably need to manually force it to do that. You can google how, its easy. From others in here, if youre using a mouse, frame rate may probably drop on camera rotation and all the prompts by default are for controllers so you need to change that too. I was getting 30-60fps in the short bit i played (gaming laptop, relatively high end).
