Yes and no, it may be the easiest entry into the series but if you have never played a Souls game before there is a learning curve with the movement, stats, combat, etc.

I'm in on fantasy mostly (I don't play TOO much high fantasy lately) and am very on Elden Ring hype train but yeah Elden Ring as an Armored Core game would have my hype at another level haha

 

From what I’ve gathered Elden Ring is on the harder side fwiw

 

i know i'm stepping on @SpyKi's territory here but all of you who have never played a From game before really owe it to yourselves to play Bloodborne

 

I liked Dark Souls 3 more than Bloodborne tbh

Although the back half of Bloodborne was AMAZING and the DLC was perfect

Bloodborne is the only souls like game I've enjoyed from From Soft

 

I'm going to play bloodborne this weekend. never played a From game as the difficulty turns me off, however Elden Ring looks so cool, so testing the waters with bloodborne as it was free in the PS collection

 

Giant Bomb did a early impressions and it’s video form and not audio and they are the worst for that

tl:dr;

- the story/lore/writing so far has mainly just made Jen go "what the fuck am I doing here" and "what the fuck are these people doing here?"
- the art is supremely fucked, just completely twisted shit. Like the most deranged children's drawings brought to life by artists.
- the graphics are "extremely neat"
- everyone (in the staff) should find something to like about in ER
- it's the grey soda of video games

What the fuck does "The grey soda of video games" mean?

 

From what I understand he basically just laid down the backstory. So probably everything that takes place before the main story but not after that.

I still need to finish Sekiro (about 2/3rds through it )to decide where it should land but prob in the middle of the list.


I have zero doubt in my mind that ER is going to be at the top of this list as my favorite.

 

Dark Souls is my fav but Bloodborne and Sekiro are also perfect games.

Also expecting Elden Ring to take the top spot or at least tie for it.

 

Popping on Bloodborne tonight, these next 29 hours are going to be LONG

 

That it’s a mix of a whole buncha shit

it ties back into their earlier point of the game having a lot of elements from other games that people might've enjoyed and thus it becomes a hodgepodge of influences.
