That’s good to hear the game has that. What made BOTW stand out for me was the exploration so this game having exploration on par with BotW should be fun.

 

There are very few things in gaming I love more than when exploration is highly rewarded.

 

destiny 2 expansion > elden ring tho

 

Have a feeling that this is going to be for me what BOTW was for so many others.

unfortunate that Elden Ring comes out one week after HFW because now I'm not going to play it for like six months

 

Watching some clips from a review playing on PS5, it looks gorgeous.

 

Man the reviews are glowing af. Also mad this is coming out so close to HFW but fuck it. From has blessed us yet again

Because there are publications that only do Xbox or only PS etc.

 

I would play Elden Ring but it is 30fps on One X

 

also the Xbox Series X version runs at 10fps lower than PS5 on average pre-patch so it's understandable if people are rating it lower.

Day one patch dropped 5 minutes ago, it's a little under 2GB on Xbox. Reportedly it mainly addresses performance issues. If you're sensitive to such things I recommend waiting for DF's analysis before diving in.

From what I've been reading I recommended PS5 > Xbox > PC in this order.

 

Looks like its tied with Super Mario Odyssey with a 97 on opencritic, currently.

Seems that way. I'll be playing it on an Xbox Series S for the time being, but I'm sure it will have a day one patch to fix the rumored frame rate problems on Xbox.

just checked. theres some drivel on that list with alot of recency bias. as the biggest mgs fan its absolutely asinine that mgsv could be on a list of highest rated games of anything. metacritic has a way better respectable top list.

that being said all aboard the Elden Ring hype train. no one really needed reviews to know a From game was gonna be great.

actually having a normal difficulty game to swap back and forth with a souls game is a great experience

 

FFXIV is already my default chill game that I swap Horizon with, haha

 

At this point I've beaten every biome except Sepulcher, Distillery, and of course Throne Room. Even the biomes I sorta don't like I go through sometimes if they're incentivized, so I've unlocked a pretty good amount of weapons, etc., always trying new things and keeping runs feeling fresh. I didn't expect to like rogues going in but this and Hades are so addicting. (still, don't expect me to get into soulsborne anytime soon, sorry Elden Ring)

There's still this other part of me at the back of my mind nagging to pick up something more story/open-world/exploration oriented. At least Hades had an amazing story and a phenomenal amount of voice work.

I think I'm just jelly that people are playing HFW right now and I have to wait until it drops on PC
