i know its very weird it took me this long, however i do remember seeing one of my brothers friends play destiny 1 when it came out and while i was intrigued, i was still very deep into wow. if i recall it was wod and i was raiding and pvping pretty hardcore at the time.

 

Wireless VR is unattainable for most people from a hardware standpoint.

It also just only makes sense for casual games and gamers. If you're trying to push the medium forward and become more innovative with the games then you want technology and power that can further the potential of your product. Wireless is great for ease of use, but limiting the products that can be produced for them simply for ease of use is something every company needs to judge for themselves.

The Switch is very much an apt comparison in some ways. The portability is a huge advantage over the lack of power in some ways, but then you have people on the other side of the fence who really hate that Nintendo remains underpowered and isn't pushing for higher fidelity in their games.

I'm just excited that Sony decided they cared enough about the potential and future of VR to make a second headset even though their first headset didn't sell amazingly.

Wireless is only easy from gameplay perspective. To set it up is a literal nightmare.

I have everything in place and I still use my quest 2 wired.

I've found that the secret for success is a thin cord. I had one from amazon that felt like carrying an elephant trunk on my shoulders. that sucked. now I have a real slinky one and it's as good as wireless.

People tend to forget that you want to get latency down as far as possible when your main input method is you performing the actual motion. Especially with physics based stuff like throwing, even the most minuscule input lag not only takes you out of the experience but makes some actions almost impossible to perform.
