Modern games with QTE's do have the option to turn them off, at least I know Spider-Man did. I know the default setting is that it's turned on, but it's always nice that you don't have to have them on and just enjoy the cutscene. I might do this for GotG because the QTE's there are tedious.

Got It Takes Two finally since it’s on sale, and also saw Hades I think is on sale for PS5. FINALLY gonna get that too if so.

I played the ten hour trial through EA Origin and it’s a complete fucking mess.

 

Correct. Only one copy of the game is needed though and it can be played through online. The other player just downloads like an app/trial thing and gets invited that way.

Still annoying if you wanna play on your own or just don't have anyone to co-op with.

Seriously though, I wonder if this or similar titles like A Way Out are playable by one player using two controllers? Is that possible?

 

For It Takes Two, almost impossible. A lot of it requires you to both be doing something simultaneously, whether that's things independent of each other or helping each other.

For example, there's a part that involves one of your shooting magnets at a wall and the other having to grapple across the magnets. They slide down the surface though, so you only have a couple of second window. Would be borderline impossible to coordinate on your own.

From memory, A Way Out would be slightly easier as more of that was you both doing things independently.

 

Don't they know gamers are shut-ins? How am I supposed to play their game without any friends, huh?

Its an official launch clusterfuck. Total mess of a game, id give it a year before its all good.

 

Just finished Nier: Automata and Im having a hard time deciding whether the game sucked or not. Story and atmosphere were both cool but boy oh boy, do you have to sift through some very dull gameplay to get to it.

Overall, I think Im glad I played it?

 

When you say finished, do you mean all the different playthroughs/endings? Because if you only played through once, you didn’t really see the full game.

 

New Super Mario Bros U Deluxe is $35 at Walmart I think. That's the only one that's caught my eye so far

Got endings ABCD and E. Majority of the dull gameplay I mentioned is in the second playthrough. Nearly quit the game going through that.

I want to rant a sec about gacha games.

For anyone who doesn't know what a gacha game is, it's basically lootboxes. They're usually RPGs where the characters you can use are made available through said lootboxes, and you use in-game currency to spin the lootbox and get random characters. Some are rarer than others, etc. You can probably figure out the rest.

Anyway, one of the gacha games that I've been playing regularly on Bluestacks is Konosuba: Fantastic Days, based on the anime. They did a crossover with Re:Zero, another anime, which ends today. Two of the units you can get from the collab are Emilia and Rem from Re:Zero.

To be fair to the devs, they actually gave out Emilia for free to everyone, so I can't be too mad with them. There are gachas out there that don't do that for players, so I appreciate the gesture.

That being said, I rolled so many spins on the gacha wheel, and the event is over in 20 minutes, and no Rem. I play these things for the characters and story, so not having Rem in my lineup and not being able to read her storyline is really bumming me out, frankly.

The devs have stated there is a possibility the collab could return in the future, but I've played enough gachas to know that I'm more than likely not seeing Rem ever again in this game.
