The challenges in the Battle Pass are genuinely the worst.

My buddy sent me a bunch of setting changes to make for controls that have really helped with the aiming. The big thing apparently is turning all the dead zones to 0. These kind of games have never been my thing so I don’t know what any of these settings actually mean, but I can actually get kills now.

  11. If Overwatch is any indication, gamers don't like objectives.

In a game I was playing the opponent team was literally on our side the whole team and I was the only one trying to grab the flag and none of my team ever supported me because they were too busy fighting

  14. Moved up to Onyx in Halo. Now I can rest.

  15. Also going from ranked to quick play matches is the worst thing in the world.

They really need to separate slayer and objective game modes for quick play. I had to cap all 3 flags in a CTF and in the following match I was the only member of my team with time in oddball. Brain worms.

They need to make the playlists/gamemodes more robust in general. Even something as simple as Slayer, FFA, Objective, BTB, Ranked, and Action Sack/Infection would be fine for launch IMO. I'd also prefer a more "classic" BTB with static, consistent vehicle spawns instead of the basically random spawns we have now

Finished Undertale last night, and Deltarune chapter 1 today. Some of the best writing in a game I’ve seen, humor is on point and there’s some incredibly touching moments. Can’t wait to dive into chapter 2 tonight.

It’s a cool game so $25 for it is more than fair.

Officially got Platinum on both Spiderman and Miles Morales. They were a lot of fun with gorgeous graphics (especially MM) and the boss battles were insane. I love the Miles Morales 2020 suit and the story, as it felt far more fleshed out than the base game. The web swinging was always fun, of course.

With that being said, the game does suffer from the typical tropes of open world games with fetch quests and "collectathons". The combat was pretty solid but not as locked down as the Arkham games, which it clearly draws influences from. There are A LOT of QTE's in the main game which I am glad they took out in MM. The game was also very easy (which some people may see as good), even on the hardest difficulty and the NG+ playthroughs were not really necessary. The suits were cool but it didn't really add anything, even the ones that gave you extra perks. The game also didn't really push you to use any of the gadgets much which was disappointing.

All in all, I am glad I got to play it and I absolutely got my money's worth. I highly recommend the game if you haven't played it yet and I am really looking forward to the sequel and Wolverine.

man looking at this Black Friday list and I really don’t want any of these games at all besides maybe the Nintendo ones just because they have never been this cheap before

    Player's Log: Horace.

I hadn't been able to play this game for the last few days, but I finally dove back in today.

I've explored maybe 2/3rds of the mansion and I have only one more boss to go in this particular location before I think the game switches gears. It's been a little annoying traversing these rooms, but I finally have abilities that let me swim, float jump, and shoulder bash enemies, which makes things ten times easier than when I didn't. And the map I've been using helps tremendously.

I'm also happy that I managed to get through this one event that everyone on Steam seemed to be upset about: without spoiling too much, basically you have to compete in a series of minigames and you cannot progress unless you win first place. You don't have to place first in all of them, just collectively. It was hard as fuck though, cause I had to alternate mashing A and X and I'm not great at those kinds of challenges.

Anyway, it was hard enough that people on Steam actually made a mod to make it easier for them to pass; I managed to beat it without the mod, so I'm pretty proud of that.

I have 14 more achievements in the game. Most are story-related, and the only ones I expect that will give me trouble are finding all the secret rooms in the mansion and then there's a choice I have to make toward the end of the game that will give me one of two achievements.

For the latter, I'm hoping I can find a way to save my game, copy the save file, get one achievement, replace the save file again, and get the other achievement. I really hope it works, cause there's nothing I hate more than beating a game and having to beat it all over again just for one achievement.

I swear if I destroy one more Chopper but the guy gets out right before it blows up so I don’t get credit for the challenge, I’m gonna lose it

i didn't realize it's been like 4 months since i played Hades so i've dived back into that during lunch @ work.

on my Series S i haven't been too active, there isn't a new game that's been a must play; i played a bit of Forza, also made sure to buy Timesplitters Future Perfect. that one's one of my favorite games from youth.

i'm considering downloading the Halo Infinite MP but i don't feel like getting demolished by a bunch of either kids who play this stuff all day or adults who've been playing console shooters for years. i only finished Halo 3 like last month.

    who's your bias, Cobra?
