Halo is excellent. Much prefer BTB to arena, but I’m really enjoying the game overall. Feels like classic Halo

 

Played like 6 games towards my ranking today in Halo, im definitely rusty. Game feels great though

Man I want to keep playing God of War but all I have left is 4 Valkyries and those aren’t really fun.

 

I loved fighting the Valkyries, it was a nice way to show off how good and powerful I had finally gotten

 

currently going through and installing anything on gamepass i think i might be interested in enough to actually try in the near future. i havent taken advantage of the service enough and basically just use it for forza, sometimes master chief collection, and the couple weeks i was into hades (im gonna get back to that soon btw). snagging some other stuff i wanna play though.

 

im actually going to take this angle for my blog post about forza horizon 5; how it is such a simple game with simple systems and a simple concept and it pulls it off in such a way that it, personally, becomes one of the greatest games ive ever played racing or otherwise. because yes, basically, you race, you collect cars, there's a very thin and easily ignorable (especially this outing) 'main story' and there's a giant map to explore and that's about it. but the collecting is addicting and there's a whole 'barn find' thing you can do (again, it was in 4) to find cool vintage cars, the tuning on your cars is extremely deep (i have no idea what im doing and have to buy tunes from the community), as well as painting your cars or snagging car designs from the community, the options for races and events are extremely varied and the community can make their own challenges and share them, which reminds me of the massive online and community piece that i never really explored when i spent a lot of time with 4. you can play by yourself and have a great time, the driving AI is quite good at higher difficulties (i play around above average, sometimes taking it down or up depending which it will prompt you to do if you go on losing or winning streaks. each car you drive has mastery perks you can unlock and spend on to get bonuses so youre incentivized to level up your cars and you can do this in any way you want, either using a few different ones to get them all leveled up or just using your go-to to max it out. im forgetting a ton but this doesnt even include the absolutely stunning map from both an environment design and graphics standpoint, the stellar audio, the buttery smooth driving controls, the depth in driving controls (e-drifts come to mind, im sort of starting to get it) and hunting down stunts, speed traps, and drifting zones. man there's just so much shit jam packed into such a simple game. its perfect for any style of player whether you wanna fuck around and drive some cars or dominate everyone you come across online.

 

Can someone describe what the main issue(s) is with the GTA remasters? Is it just glitches/jankiness? Are they like unplayable? I still kind of want them lol

 

They're playable, if you want to put up with how those games play in 2021

 

Ah okay, so they're basically not updated for modern times like the advertising said? (like controls, etc)

 

As far as I know the controls still suck, even if they tweaked things. They're definitely not modernized.

 

They're also, from what I've read, very buggy and look awful. Your mileage may vary, of course.
