Been playing this season

 

I didn’t realize you could turn your flashlight on and off and the controller makes a sound because I’ve been mostly playing with headphones on and now I just mash the flashlight because I want to die.

I’m talking about the last of us not the new one.

 

Cipher that’s literally a given with any game lmao. I’m expecting your main criticism will revolve around the gameplay though as opposed to the violence.

 

Haaa yeah and when you shake the controller it makes a rattling battery sound too

I haven't played in a while and I tried it today. It felt so different for some reason. It was just strange and the audio seemed off or something. Mirage is pretty good now though with his ability to turn teammates invisible when you revive them!

 

Hadn’t noticed that stuff. They did change some stuff in the last few days and I haven’t played since then so maybe the audio got messed up then.

 

I just haven't played in a long time so it's probably just me after playing other games being very unaccustomed to this game's settings.

 

Yeah I also hadn’t played it since before season one

 

We agree on some games, like RDR2 and Bad Company 2. So I wouldn't say it's a given.

As for my criticisms, well, calling it torture porn would be a criticism if I was bothered by it. But I'm not bothered by it, so I'll leave that to others. It IS torture porn but coming from me, that's more of a statement of observation rather than a criticism.

As for the gameplay, I could probably critique it right now and it'd be valid since I doubt anything about it is gonna change this late into the game. But I'd rather finish it first before going into detail.

 

I feel like I constantly need to remind myself that online gamer discourse really is as bad as its reputation and that it seems likely it’ll never really get better.

 

Don’t really need reminding. The internet proves that daily. That Alanah stuff is infuriating.

Loving The Last of Us II so far. I'm only 10 hours in but it doesn't really seem any more graphic or bleak than the first so far.

 

also I'm not sure how much the gameplay has actually changed from the first but it feels like I remember it and it's great. The story just makes me that much more invested in the stealth and combat which makes me actually care about looking around for supplies. Some really great sequences so far, can't wait to play more.

 

I've got a few hours left in the game. Feels like I'm in the home stretch. I've got a comparison for The Last of Us Part II that I think you'll get a kick out of, @RyanRyan

 

I've been watching my roomie play it, it's bloody as hell. Pretty intense.

No worries.

I try to play most major releases. I give them a fair shot in the end. I've played plenty of games that have proven me wrong, so even if I expect to dislike a game, I'll never actually know until I play it.

 

I definitely know before I play it, I very, very rarely get surprised
