My main question is if I buy an “Xbox One” copy of Cyberpunk (that I’m sure will say Series X compatible on the box) and I put it into my series X on launch day and CDPR doesn’t have a next gen patch ready what happens? Am I playing the Xbox One X version or a weird hybrid beefed up version of the Xbox One X version due to the more powerful hardware I’ll have.

I'm playing TLOU right now and it's such a clunky and unwieldy game. It's fucking a pain to play.

 

do you like survival horror games? a lot of the time they play like that and the argument is that it makes for a better survival feel. fwiw

 

I've played a lot of survival horror and in this case it just feels like they're using this as an excuse for not implementing better gameplay. It doesn't add to the tension or to the situation. All it does is leave me frustrated because dozens of games before it had done it and not sacrificed decent mechanics.

is the gameplay making you feel anxious- does it feel like you can commit critical errors and miss shots? understandably plenty of players could find that kind of thing to be unfun or not well designed.

its been too long since I’ve played TLOU so I don’t really have a dog in the fight. also fwiw the videos I’ve watched of TLOU2 recently look like fun gameplay to me.

 

its not a new argument go read about the philosophy of “tank controls” of virtually all of the seminal classic survival horror games
