These Spider-Man 2 vids look so good, might need to check it out this weekend.

I did pick up Laika though, and I’m obsessed with it so far

my completely nonexistent and minor complaint is I’ll be doing side missions as miles and I constantly get bombarded with that switch to Peter to continue the main story like just let me live my LIFE

 

I got bored of 1 and didn't finish it (though I sank a lot of time into it) and I never played Miles Morales.

1) do I need to play Miles or just jump right in?
2) chances of fatigue on this one if the 1st one wore me out? Combat just became a bit repetitive, but at the same time I wanted to complete everything. I probably could have just ran the main story out but at some point I just moved on.

it looks incredible from the videos and screenshots. Definitely a pretty looking good and I'll probably get at some point just to swing around and not worry too much if I don't finish it.

 

You do not need to play the first games as they recap them in the beginning. I think the game is a marked improvement with the repetition from the first games. It is still VERY much an open world game but the side missions for the most don’t feel heavy handed and serve a purpose to the overall story.


The story and gameplay are all on par with Miles Morales.

 

1 burnt me out too, I didn't finish. MM was a ton of fun and flowed very nicely I deff suggest playing it.

I feel like 2 improved in the variety of things you need to do so the redundancy has gone away but I also haven't finished it yet.

I'd say watch a recap of 1, play MM then jump (swing?) into 2

 

Hopefully going to finish up Spider-Man and then go see Gel tonight.

Playing as a certain character in spider man 2 was so fucking satisfying

 

I think the side stories were so well done in this one. I actually wanted to have more experiences with some of the side characters.

I’m so glad I decided to play Alan Wake Remaster when it was a monthly game. One of my favorite video game stories.

 

jayson and mykah are the most white ways to spells those names i swear and those are already some white ass names. they came through for their homie

 

but also very wholesome white people can be wholesome as fuck believe you me

 

I’m not done with the game yet, but this second half got really dark really fast.

 

Just rolled the credits. Just wow. There is so much to talk about but I will reserve that for another time. Insomniac has done an incredible job. With Rocksteady MIA they are a suitable replacement to take over superhero games. The deep lore and storytelling is insane. I have some trophies to mop up but as of now, the game is near perfect. I did run into quite a few bugs that made me have to go back to main menu and load the game but I’m sure it will be ironed out soon enough.

 

I’m only a few hours into miles morales but I definitely want to play the Arkham games asap now.

 

Played an hour of Alan Wake II. Really excited to play more on Friday after work

 

I have not been able to make nearly as much progress on anything that I’m playing as I’ve wanted this week due to ongoing illness. Just three days left to get one more game finished to keep my pace on target. And I’ll be laying out my no new game November rules soon.
