I ultimately didn't do the big side quest I was talking about because I didn't want to do so much backtracking, will say they completely neutered the Line Gun, that thing was devastating in the original and felt so weak even after maxing out damage upgrades. (though I think this complaint applies to all of the weapons outside of the Plasma Cutter, and probably just in-line with the game being more difficult now)

 

Konami having a fucking interactive TV show be the return of Silent Hill is truly asinine. Can’t wait till it bombs and they starts canceling other SH products. Truly hate Konami more than most developers.

 

But what if it's good? I mean, instead of craving disaster that ends in a net negative, why not wait until it comes out and see if you enjoy it?

I never participated in Black Mirror: Bandersnatch, so I don't really know how these projects go, but the idea of an audience-determined plotline is something I've found intriguing. Like the old Choose Your Own Adventure books except you're not always the one choosing.

 

6 hours into forza and im enjoying it. it actually looks really good. But the mandatory 3 lap practice sessions before every race have to go. My only complaint so far

 

I hope it’s good. I don’t want it to fail. But Konami has given me absolutely zero reasons to trust them over the years.

I feel like Konami now is a little better than before at least. They're leaning into their history with the MGS Collection, the Snake Eater and Suikoden remakes, a new Contra, these Silent Hill projects...

Hell, a couple years ago they revived Getsu Fuuma Den, which I would never have had on my bingo card.

I get it, but at least they're making games again in franchises people love instead of five years ago when they were all gathering dust.

 

I like the idea of audience chosen plot in theory but I'm also thinking about how mad I'm gonna get at the masses for doing something I don't want to do and I don't wanna embrace that toxicity in my heart

 

I think it's cool and it's not the only Silent Hill project they have being released so I don't understand where any of this is coming from. They have a whole ass remake of their most iconic game Silent Hill 2 coming out.

 

The other thing is that Bandersnatch was talked about a lot online and generated a lot of buzz when it came out and that's kind of the point of all this, to appeal to a mass audience. The fact that Konami is doing more than pachinko machines should make people happy.

 

People are mad that a long beloved series that hasn't released a game in forever and has been teased a ton the past few years of a new release is getting a TV show.

Idgaf about Silent Hill but I would be highly annoyed if I was.

But...they are releasing multiple games for the series.

If people are mad about this that's weird.

 

I don't know why it's taken Sony so long to do this, but this is the one advantage they have over Microsoft for Game Pass. They have a while catalogue of Sony owned movies so just including them into the subscription makes a ton of sense.
