Gorilla Arms go fucking ape shit in 2.0 (pun fully intended)

 

I wasn’t digging what I played of Cyberpunk. Couldn’t get into it :(

 

i had a really nice moment talking to my mom at lunch the other day about how video games are my form of like reading books for other people (although i also read books just not as much as id like) and she was like i totally get it she used to play all the lego batman/star wars/harry potter games with my little brother and when i was growing up all the original playstation and SNES games and noted how video games require a lot of problem solving and critical thinking skills and its just nice to know my family doesnt think im wasting my life with this hobby i dedicate roughly 90% of my free time to

 

Try it now with the 2.0 patch, it’s a much different yet improved gameplay experience

God I hated those towers. Last back to back boss fights had me spamming recovery items haha.

This might be weird, but I mentioned you the other day in conversation with my wife—just the very basic things I know about you re: addiction and (I believe) playing videogames as a way to fill time productively and enjoyably. My apologies if that's inaccurate, I barely know you haha, but I brought it up because we were talking about the different types of leisure/relaxation that people enjoy, and how important play is for humans. We have two boys, 3 years and 6 months respectively, and so we're always pondering how to make sure they're balanced humans and have good opportunities for mental, physical, emotional, and social growth. I brought it up because I was making the distinction between play for relaxation and play for some other kind of purpose; for me, reading and writing fall into a "play for growth" category, where yes, I do them to relax, but I also count them as productive, fulfilling, valuable activities that I should actively schedule into my life because they make me a better person. And I pointed out that some videogames have a similar role—storytelling, critical thinking, problem solving, social interaction, that kind of thing. It wasn't exactly relaxing to play Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice, it was terrifying and nervewracking, but it made me a better person to play it. Anyway, I brought you up because my impression of some of your gaming was that it's a proactive, valuable use of your time rather than something you're just sinking mindless hours into, and that's cool to me—finding ways to use entertainment and leisure to make you a better person.

Anyway. Tangent over, back to arguing about RDR2 or whatever this week's favorite topic is going to be, lol.

 

It only took me a few months but I finally booted up the Dead Space remake seems pretty cool so far, voiced Isaac is a big change of course and the enemies seem beefier.

Managed to get jump scared a few times despite how familiar I am with the original.

 

Dead Space remake is really good, probably one of the best remakes I’ve played

 

Tons of Rebirth gameplay shown off last night, really really really looks fantastic, and according to the translator for this vid Rebirth will be an open world game, i'm guessing not as open as we are used to but I guess the sectioned off areas are still gigantic? Idk it looks big in this gameplay.

I don’t need to buy the cyberpunk dlc to play the game with all the improvements correct? I can just give it a try with the game I already own and if I end up really liking it I can buy the dlc after I’m done with the base game?

Correct. Also, the DLC afaik is already included in the update so you’d just have to buy to unlock it for you want to.

 

The DLC told me it'd download today, so maybe it isn't completely included in the update. not sure.

 

Doing the quest where Delamain goes haywire and you need to break into his HQ, it's great.

 

I felt like a dummy because I was like why didn’t my ps4 version automatically upgrade to ps5 but then I realized you had to go to the store to download it

 

The Ada dlc for RE4 remake is really great. The grapple hook stuff they added is super fun. Easily worth $10 if you want to play a little more of that game.

 

God damn I fucking love Cyberpunk

Player's Log: Trails In The Sky the 3rd.

Finished Chapter 5. Have all the playable characters now, and the vignettes are getting really interesting, as they involve hooks for what I'm sure I'll be experiencing in the next game, regarding Crossbell and what they refer to as "the Crossbell problem".

My favorite dumb vignette though is the one about Estelle becoming a fishing legend.

Anyway, I'm hoping to finish the game tomorrow. I didn't spend as much time on it today as I'd hoped, so tomorrow is all about reaching that ending so I can move on to Trails From Zero.

 

Doing a Netrunner/Stealth build in CP2077, it’s crazy how much freedom you have in 2.0

 

I love finishing a game and then watching the completionst video about said game because usually he has the best thoughts on games

 

Nearly finished with Lies of P. Have maybe a couple bosses left
