hot take: I don't know a single person who dislikes Spencer. I think he's absurdly likable and genuine. Probably the only good suit.

(I mean strictly as a person. Microsoft's output is far removed from what I enjoy)

Iwata was a great guy, I really recommend his book

 

I like Phil Spencer a lot he seems like he has a genuine interest in gaming and not just for appearances

 

I don’t really like Spencer but mostly because he’s a suit and I don’t trust anyone at that level (also he’s always had a smug face that annoys me irrationally haha). I know people loved Reggie and I swear shit came out that he wasn’t that great behind the scenes.

I'd say that's probably what the average executive spends their time doing, thinking of the possibilities. Whether those are realistic, doesn't really matter to them.

They all think about buying shit up and merging things together and trying to cut corners and dream of monopolizing. That’s why they’re in the position they are.

Phil’s are just very public due to the FTC case, leaks like today or just random reporting.

 

the ceo is usually the stupidest person of the c suite class. they dont do much in alot of cases. but that was a super foolish sentiment indeed.

 

The statement looks even worse when you realize it was at the height of nintendo moving absolute fucking $$$$$$$ due to Animal Crossing
