I need to go back and finish it. I love the story but the gameplay wasn’t grabbing me at the time. Might now tho

 

i will say the combat was definitely just more of the same (which I was fine with) up until you start to play as Atreus and then later when you craft the spear which opened things up alotttt. I also found the combat encounters in the late game took a lot more strategy and planning and smart playing (on give me balance difficulty) than early game encounters

 

Damn that Donkey was TOUGH

Well, I thought I would finish today, but I misjudged how quickly I'd get through Chapter 8. I'm on the verge of beginning the final chapter though, and I still accomplished a lot.

Most of the sidequest achievements are done now, like the fishing achievement and the Ramblin' Gambler achievement. I still have two more recipes to get to get the cooking achievement, and I should get the Bracer Points achievement once I finish this current chapter.

The only achievement that still is giving me ulcers is the one for opening all the chests and getting their dumb remarks when you check them a second time, and it's not because I'm scared of missing a chest.

See, I learned that sometimes the remarks the chests give repeat themselves, and if you check the chests again after some time passes, it might say something different, which means it's entirely possible to check every chest and still not get the achievement unless you double back and start rechecking chests until you get a new dumb phrase.

So I've decided that if I open every last chest and I don't get the achievement, I'm unlocking it for myself, because fuck you, Falcom.

 

Just preordered Spider-Man 2 and Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth Deluxe from GameStop.

So hyped for both.

 

I see some of you got Lies of P, how you liking it so far? I don't really love souls-likes, but I've been kinda interested in getting that one.

RE2 remake is still my fav, but the combat in 4 is so fun.

Alien Isolation + all the DLC is on sale so I’m gonna finally check it out, hoping to get scared out of my mind

 

I just want to say that all these court documents are fairly old, if you want to date them, at the time of submission Game Pass "only" had 25 million subscribers -- which puts it around Q1 2022. So not to curb anyone's enthusiasm but grain of salt etc. ;)

I actually think there would be riots in the streets of Japan if Microsoft tried to actively buy Nintendo.

This is the exact reason I've never liked Phil or bought into his "everything for the consumers" bullshit. They're a business, he wants money and control of the market, that's it. It's that simple.

I do appreciate that the refresh isn’t new updated hardware but mainly just improvements to little stuff like storage and Wi-Fi. I am curious about that new controller though, curious as to how’ll compare to the PS5’s.

 

no fucking way Microsoft doesn't make a pro version if Sony does.

 

I mean games are already upscaling from 720p.

You can feel how you like about Spencer but really sucks a lot of the people behind the scenes pushing ideas and helping develop hardware had all of it leaked via documents overnight

Release schedule is hella old but all of those games are still in development
