I caved and bought the Mortal Kombat 1. The story mode is really good. I know nothing about the lore, so I’m glad it’s a reboot. The characters are cool. It’s moving pretty fast, but whatever.

 

Starfield: Sometimes, if I can, I try to sit somewhere nice with Sarah before I exit the game, like we're on a date. We were by Kay's in the Well and she pulls a sandwich out of nowhere...?!

 

Randomly decided to start a rewatch of Gargoyles so I needed something to play on Switch while I watch. Ended up picking Mega Man Battle Network 3, which is probably my favorite in the series and one of my favorites of all time. I was definitely obsessed with this series as a kid and even loved the anime adaptation.

 

Re 4 remake was on sale on PS5. I've never played the original. Having a blast so far.

It's harder than I thought (Standard difficulty). I found RE 2 remake and Village easier.

Any thoughts on that ?

 

If you die a lot, it recommends assisted mode to you. Try that.

 

I only died once or twice so far (currently in chap 4). I use a lot more health items compared to other games in that genre tho. We'll see.

 

Re4 remake threw me off at first with the combat difficulty because it wants you to be a lot more aggressive than I’m used to from those games. Once you get used to it though it’s not really any harder than the others.

 

Parrying and upgrading your knife are your friend

 

Upgrade your briefcase, invest in upgrading red9 (best handgun), get the treasure maps with the spinels from the merchant’s quests, break barrels with melee to save bullets

 

I'm having a lot of fun with Lies Of P so far

 

What’s the difficulty like? I’m really terrible at soulslike games, but I love the aesthetics of this one

 

I’m on chapter 12 of GOTG and we are nearing end game folks

 

It's hard for me to say because every game always feels harder while I'm playing it haha, but traversing the areas and fighting enemies along the way isn't hard at all, there's almost always a checkpoint or shortcut near an elite enemy so it's easy to ensure your safety. Boss difficulty varies heavily so far. Right now I find it a bit harder than Bloodborne, easier than DS3/Sekiro

 

I only started it today but Dave the Diver is my favorite game I’ve played all year.

 

It’s not any easier.

 

Starfield is great so far and Lies of P is around the corner but I just wanna mention that Spiritfarer and Gris are "recently added" on Gamepass if you're looking for something smaller to play

Just completed Peppa Pig. It takes about 30 minutes with a guide. Fans of JRPG’s will love the long cutscenes.

Can't wait to play Lies of P tomorrow. The demo was fantastic.

 

It's taken like a year to get to this point lol. I kept getting sidetracked with other games. I've got all the games in my backlog....I might as well make a dent in it!

 

Taken down four bosses in Lies of P so far. Only one genuinely frustrated me.
