Glad the DE comes with mini artbook and steelbook, a shame they don't do the "charge you when they ship" anymore tho.

 

Player's Log: Trails In The Sky SC.

Well, I made it to Chapter 8. I have that and the final chapter left to go before I finish the game.

Unfortunately, I have a 12:30 flight tomorrow, so anything else will have to wait until I get back, but if I only have two more chapters, I'm sure I'll probably knock it out on Monday when I return. And then I can delve into the third game.

Still not liking the whole "select your party" business as far as story events go. I'm trying to choose the party members I think have the most riding on each major event to make the most out of the dialogue I get, but it still rankles not knowing what dialogue I'm missing because of my choices.

I do understand that the game has an Orbment that lets you bypass any field encounters, and it also has a New Game Plus mode where you can redo the game with all of your stuff intact, so basically I could do New Game Plus, bypass all the fighting, and just make different party choices to see different dialogue.

But I also don't have an incentive to do that beyond seeing said dialogue, and for me, that's not enough.

I guess I'm just bellyaching.

Well as I said, I tend to change based on the story scenario, but I guess I tend to favor Kloe and Olivier just because I think they usually have the most interesting stuff to say, and Schera because she just has great dialogue with Estelle. Zin sometimes.

Really Agate, Tita, and Kevin are the ones I tend to neglect the most, and I don't like that.

But going back to this, clearly this means you neglected other people. So who did you leave shaking in the cold to fend for themselves?

 

Yeah. He’s the MC for 3rd. Everyone is there but he leads the way.

hmmm. For SC it was Schera, Agate and Zin I tended to ignore. I like Schera as a character but she’s not great for most fights.

 

Yeah see, I'm using a trainer, so I don't really have to care about who to use from a battle standpoint, although I tend to favor people who can kill everything at once.

It's all about the story for me. Plus Schera has been a mandatory party member for most of the game. Probably because I chose her at the beginning.

Nothing worse than choosing between two paths, accidentally progressing the story, and not being able to go back to explore.

 

My worst fear

 

I'm always doing that, and what I hate is when I follow a guide and they're using in-game perspective for directions instead of my perspective and I go the opposite way I want to go because I think I'm going the right way.

Starfield: Ever since I figured out NG+ wasn't for me, I've put the main quest on hold and just been talking to random NPCs, doing little side quests, customizing my ship, and running around scanning shit on Jemison. This is the cozy feeling I've been missing, just aimless exploration for the sake of it.

 

Saw a vid of some poor streamer triggering the Sephy fight in KH without knowing, realized instantly his mistake as soon as the music started playing
