I'm almost done with Chapter 4.

I'm kind of hoping I can finish this game before Friday, as I'm supposed to leave on a trip to Connecticut at that point in time. I have work tomorrow and Tuesday, and then I took off Wednesday and Thursday, so we'll see?

Worst case, I'll be back Monday afternoon and then have off until that Thursday, so I'll definitely finish it then.

Oh, and the pigeon achievement is the fucking dumbest achievement. So there are random pigeons in a couple areas in the game? And if you talk to them, they have names based on food. So you need to specifically talk to ones named Bacon, Eggs, and Golden Toast. Except most pigeons simply fly away if you come at them, so you have to run to them and quickly jab the Action button and hope you're talking to the right one. How anyone was supposed to know this was the achievement is beyond me. Fucking psycho behavior.

 

I'm doing the main quest first just to see what the fuss is about with NG+, which tbh kinda goes against every instinct I have when it comes to exploring Bethesda games. I am having a lot of fun with Constellation stuff tho ngl

 

ive been bouncing between the main quest and side quests

 

at the very least i highly suggest you do the mantis side quest if you want an insanely good ship but be warned it is difficult to make it through the dungeon due to a severe lack of med packs scattered so stock up

 

Aside from Starfield crashing to desktop a couple times, I've also gotten an error with Gamepass not syncing cloud saves properly after the computer goes to sleep and wakes up, preventing the game from opening

 

the main quest is picking up considerably and at this point i think i am just gonna b-line it to the end not because i wanna rush to ng+ although i am intrigued but because its getting so good i dont really wanna do anything else yet. this is how i played skyrim on my second playthrough, knocked out the main story asap and left myself a huge open world with dozens of stories to discover

 

I would do the main quests until you finish the “into the unknown” one. Also, do the mantis side quest asap.

I know I’m being greedy but I really hope the first Starfield expansion comes out next year. I’d hope since they announced it months ago with a title that it won’t be too long

 

people are saying anyone who thinks Starfield is good must have played a different game than them and I have that exact thought in the opposite direction. I am having an absolute blast with this game. It’s everything I want in a Bethesda RPG in 2023 aside from the map design which is understandable because a space setting isn’t gonna be able to use an open map like fallout and Skyrim did but the mass effect-esque system of space travel makes total sense and I dig how it’s almost more of a hub based RPG because of this
