    anyone else playing Blasphemous 2-
i don't know if it's a bug or an intended effect, but after dying and leaving some guilt, upon retrieving it i found that sometimes the "guilt thorns" or whatever don't disappear from my fervour bar.
    is that supposed to happen?

doing the vanguard quest and the museum walkthrough was super cool and andreja even pointed out at one point this retelling of the conflict with the freestar collective is probably whitewashed to make the UC look good. great details here really felt like going through an american museum where we're the good guys in everything

Think thats just how it works in this game? You got to pay to forgive your sins.

Whenever The Penitent One dies in Blasphemous 2, he accumulates Guilt. This guilt is represented plainly by the roots that begin to cover up parts of the Fervour bar upon each death.

I believe the game tells you this early on if I recall.

we ended on 8 straight wins and the last one we won off a lucky save by my little sister to revive my cousin back to help us get the win.

    i'm aware.
it's just that sometimes, not all the time, when i recover my guilt fragment those roots won't go away. some times they will!

which would be very annoying. like, i'm not sure if it's doing that when i've suffered multiple deaths in a certain area/encounter?
having the leave where i am and go to the city to pay (an increasing amount) all the time is kinda irritating

Player's Log: Trails In The Sky SC.

I finished Chapter 2 and I'm now in the thick of Chapter 3, and I have a grievance.

At multiple points in this game, I have to basically decide who I want to have in my travelling party, and I think from a storytelling standpoint, I'm not fond of this.

It's not just about who fights, whoever I don't choose gets left behind at the town inn and they don't participate in any story content I encounter without them.

As an example, in Chapter 2 I chose to have Olivier over Kloe. Because I did this, I got some dialogue between Olivier and another person that foreshadows something for later in the game.

Now in Chapter 3, I chose to have Kloe in my party over Olivier, and because I did that, I got a pretty poingnant scene between her and another character that I wouldn't have seen if I'd chosen differently.

It makes me wonder what dialogue trees I'm missing, and I know that adds replayability to the game, but that's the kind of replayability I could do without. I hate feeling like I'm missing something, and I just hope future games took that into consideration.

Other than that, still really enjoying the game.

  16. It all depends on how much guilt you’ve accumulated. If it’s more than what is refilled after reclaiming the guilt fragment, you must visit the Confessor and pay to remove it.

For some of the bosses, I’d resort to quitting to the main menu if things got dire or even quitting the game completely if I died (before the auto-save) to not have to pay the confessor lol.

There's a channel on Twitch called Hang Time and they've been every mainline Tales Of (Vesperia, Berseria) in a row on a non stop marathon and they're still live right now.

Don't remember who was talking about it, but thought you may be interested.

stray thoughts heading into 20ish hours of starfield

-crafting and research is awesome but i wish being able to get certain upgrades wasn't in the second tier of skill points as i havent been able to put any points toward them yet because i wanted more health and carry weigh
-carry weight is bad but your companions being pack mules is nothing new to bethesda games
-im actually loving the main quest and this cast of characters but am not even halfway done with it based on the mission list i saw
-the lodge is a great base of operations i love spending time there working on stuff
-ship combat was tough until i found an amazing ship in a side quest that absolutely dominates
-upgrading ship parts is easy enough but the ship customization looks intimidating to me. i also have enough credits to start looking at other ships to buy
-i have yet to explore any randomly generated content on my own and have been sticking to anything thats part of a quest which as i understand can sometimes use randomly generated content? i def did a couple side missions that seemed to just be random planets with basic structures or whatever.
-the scripted hand crafted content is all really well done and i love the cities, neon especially is wonderful but pretty much every place ive gone has been awesome to look at and explore
-quests are great ive gotten pretty deep into some quest lines and only just started others im def gonna have to pick and choose what i wanna complete this playthrough and what to save for new game plus
-have had a few glitches or bugs here and there, camera stuff or npc's acting weird or one time talking to my companion on accident in the middle of the 'cut scene' and the game just not knowing what to do and the dialogue camera just locked up on my companions face with no way to back out. slightly humorous and fixed with an autosave load that took me back roughly ten seconds.

Loving Starfield so far, gotta hand it to Bethesda for incentivizing me to complete the main story quest before playing it like I do all their other games: Oops! All Sidequests
