It's interesting to me that the first Spyro game seemed to be more like the Crash series in terms of focusing solely on collecting trinkets and finishing levels, and then after that pivoted slightly to a more Rare-style version with mini-games and more open levels and specific goals.

While I love all of the trilogy, there's something very charming in the simplicity of the first game's straightforward approach.

  13. Starfield: doing a diplomacy run for once, usually my first playthrough of any game is more combat than roleplay oriented. I even restarted the game after playing a couple hours so I could choose the Freestar and Enlightened traits. I haven't done a successful social check in combat yet but the persuasion (and lockpick) minigames are actually kinda fun

I love the lock pick mini game but the first time I picked a lock I fucked up so bad and they give you plenty of locks on the corpse next to the safe to unlock but I used them all because I had no idea what I was doing and spent ten minutes backtracking checking every corner of the level for a dogpick, thankfully I found a couple and understand how it actually works now

  25. In Fallout 4 I would use console commands to give merchants enough money to buy my junk, plus any junk that I wanted to buy from them, for like very specific settlement resources, so I didn't feel like I was cheating by simply adding things straight into my inventory. I also teleported companions to me, teleported myself to quest-related npcs, toggled clipping in case I ever got stuck, and, idk, spawned a bunch of Brotherhood and Deathclaws to see what would happen.

I haven't used console commands in Starfield yet but I definitely recognize player.placeatme haha
