when it comes to broad topics and not just takes on the latest game releases its all about tim rogers (duh), scott the woz, austin eruption, and nakeyjakey. used to like stephanie sterling but she's just wayyyy too relentlessly negative for my tastes lately and watching her videos is guaranteed to put me in a horrible mood :/



also i realize its funny to list tim rogers as a broad topic youtuber when he literally does full game reviews but his reviews are pretty much video essays on a broad topic lol

 

also have not seen much talk about the crafting in starfield but on first brush it seems extremely deep and intuitive and i love the ability to track recipes you need resources for and how it shows up when you're talking to a vendor with that item

 

With the news that people are buying reviews on Rottentomatoes I can't trust metacritic. something about gamergate and... *checks notes* "journalistic integrity. " or whatever

Finished Chapter 1. Olivier is the best, and I can't wait until Estelle finds out he's really the prince of Erebonia. I feel like that will be a sight to see.

I also just love revisiting all these old locales and catching up with the residents from the first game. I dunno, I wish more RPGs had this kind of connective tissue going on. I feel like there's not enough of that. Give me grand sweeping multi-game sagas.

and... i am about 60% of the way to playing Starfield (good god this is downloading slowly)

 

I only got an hour into Starfield after work tonight, just feeling a bit exhausted. Will say the game looks great, and the gunplay is much improved from even Fallout 4 imo.

Making me want to play that Dead Space remake real bad too, should finally get to that now that spooky season is approaching.

Got up to the Thor fight last night and game still rules. Think I got to halfway until where I was last time and v excited to play all the stuff I didn’t get to.

 

Rolled credits on starfield!!!!!Took me just under 18 hours. Now onto new game plus and it’s a whole different game. They really set it the endgame up well.
