undervolt your CPU in BIOS and your GPU through Afterburner, then cap Starfield to 30fps and play with a controller is my recommendation.

no game makes my computer toasty like Starfield does and this is with watercooling. Maybe wait for a couple of patches.

I think I remember you saying your laptop had a 30 series GPU, so definitely also download the DLSS mod, it's a very easy install and moving the upscaling to the tensor cores also frees up some additional GPU power.

I am, actually, but this is a 300 dollar CPU with 96mb of L2 cache and 16 threads, this is supposed to tear through every modern game.

the 20 series also supports DLSS so all good on that end, but even a desktop 2070 would shit itself in Starfield.

that said a capped 30 is realistic without setting half your house on fire ;)

Just finished AC6 with 15 minutes to spare til Starfield lmao

loved it - game gets really easy once you get dual gat/zimms + songbirds but it was really fun and the story was way more interesting than I was expecting

 

starfield runs fine on my extremely mid pc

 

This month’s three PlayStation Plus games don’t look good to me :(

a. i dont mind the way space travel works at all
b. gunplay is good not great
c. overall presentation and immersion is a 10/10
