I hate gamers. I don't play this game, but the company gave in my opinion a legit honest and understandable statement, and people are freaking the fuck out. Children.

 

I got one of the Total War games but haven't started it yet. I don't see that price point as unreasonable at all given what I know about those games. The players are being babies for sure

Gamers really need to stop this shit. It’s become a huge problem for Destiny too. There’s ways to give player feedback without literally threatening and harassing devs.

Stuff like this makes me so angry. I did some research and apparently the company has done some other things that ticked off the community and now they're pissed that the company has just actively ignored everything and strained their relationship with the community further.

I just think they're being children as well.

I'll say it again: gamers can be some of the most entitled little freaks I've ever met. They then act like they are on a crusade for justice. Pathetic.

 

I think my judgment on GOTY this year is going to be heavily clouded by the fact that I'm making crazy progress in Hollow Knight now, because I think I have a new all time favorite. Top 3 at minimum. I can't believe how good this is and can't believe I ever got distracted from finishing it.

I don't usually like games like Hollow Knight because I get very frustrated. I don't have a lot of patience in life, but something about Hollow Knight grabbed me. I couldn't put it down.

It's one of the few times where I vividly remember my time playing it and how engrossed I was in it. Just a lovely, lovely experience from the combat to the art to the weird characters.

 

The older I've gotten the more I've noticed is very hard for something to become one of my favorites. I don't really have many favorite movies or albums or games. A lot are from the past if I have any at all. I do have a lot of things I thoroughly enjoy or like, but not many I truly love.

Hollow Knight is a rare exception. I legitimately can't think of anything more recent than that unfortunately.

 

I'm that way about movies or albums but a lot of my favorite games are pretty current haha. FFXIV, Celeste, DS3, Sekiro, now Hollow Knight. I'm sure BG3 will be one as well when I resume it, its grab was pretty immediate

 

I played a few levels of Celeste and really liked it and never went back to it for some reason.

I really wish my brain worked like it did when I was a kid and I became enthralled by things and just liked things so much more easily.

It's such a struggle for me to enjoy things sometimes. It's a huge bummer because all these great things exist that I'm into, but can't get really into if you know what I mean

As you describe it I do get what you mean, that obsessive factor. I do have it with Hollow Knight and had it with FFXIV but it does feel much more rare compared to when I was younger and could become engrossed with so many things

 

I get that for me some of this is depression and I work very hard to get through it as best I can, but I think Justin Davis from IGN's Game Scoop said it best. Forgive me, but I'm paraphrasing here:

When we kids, games just appeared and they felt magical. They came from a different country we knew nothing about and they were wild and everything was unique and fresh to us. It was like the wild West. Companies could do whatever they wanted, game magazines published so much absolute bullshit because there were no cops and no one would fact check that stuff. It was crazy and fun and a very special time.

 

Mines going to be who has highest metacritic score and most reviews

 

I don't trust reviews. All gaming websites are paid off.

 

I just realized people might not think that's just me making fun of all the people who say that online.

 

Starting up Texas Chainsaw Massacre, here’s hoping it’s decent

 

I kinda think a part of it was us not being as good at games back then too tbh haha, a lot easier to get engrossed when it's harder for us to get from start to finish
