I’m looking at desks right now and what size monitor should I be looking into if my desk is like 55 inches

 

27" for 1440p
32" for 4k (if your GPU can handle it)

desk size doesn't really factor into this as the desk will dwarf both of those.

I have a 39 inch ultrawide 3840x1600 by LG which rocks ass but also is incompatible with a whole bunch of games.

no computer right now it’s purely going to be used for console gaming atm

 

then get a 4k one because 1440p is a weird resolution for consoles and 4k is an even split of 4x1080p

 

My desk has on it a wider desk top has on it a monitor riser has on it a dual-monitor stand

In addition to two monitors I have a 5.1 speaker setup, a printer, and a scanner. And a bunch of junk I never bother to clean up. Not to mention under my desk is my guitar amp and like six different guitar pedals. My desk area is kinda dumb and super cluttered but it works for me. I can make it a standing desk if I want, or I can use the subwoofer as a foot rest and lean back. My chair's arm rests can fold up to get out of the way of guitar playing
