Got it installed and can't wait to finish up work to play. I knocked out about 13 hours in the early access at the last minute over the last few days, and am now ready to go. I deleted the save files and uninstalled as requested, and got the full version waiting for me after work.

I think I'll go with a bard, but not 100% sure yet. I am not at all familiar with DnD, but I loved DOS / DOS2 and similar type games and while they're normally 'too complicated', I didn't have many issues in early access with figuring things out once I put the focus in and the hours flew by.

Early access was a paladin but I didn't know what I was doing and I somehow broke my oath and I don't want to mess with that. Also read that casters (sorcerer / wizard) are complicated for beginnings and that warlocks get pretty boring.

I could be off base, but I expect this game will have a higher than average return rate. (Don't like turn based combat, too complicated etc). I'd love to be wrong but it just screams the type of game that people will blindly buy based on the hype and chart topping, and then be like 'oh, this isn't for me'. I know I have blindly bought some niche, hyped up games and then returned them (not because they were a bad game, just not what I like).

 

I agree and I retract my statement. Most people already own that game from the early access period. I doubt those are new buys
