I just don’t understand why someone wouldn’t just get a backbone controller right? i’m also someone who just cannot handle any kind of action game on handheld and don’t have any interest in a steam deck and also don’t ever really play my switch handheld so i’m not the target audience at all

 

Relative portability when they could make a portable, that doesn't look like a child made it, that could have other features and be useful outside of these limited situations.

The Backbone Playstation Edition exists for both iPhone and Android now. They are filling an extremely limited market now.

You can also use a dual sense and sync it to your phone. Just seems pointless.

I guess it's fine if you don't already own a tablet? But remote play already works fucking great on mine so I see no need for it

I guess it also depends on price. Tablets are expensive for sure, so if you can really undercut that then... Sure I guess

 

But most people already have a phone and would just need the backbone which would be probably way less than this tablet/controller monstrosity that looks incredibly poorly designed and has zero common sense on thumb and screen placement
