Nintendo has absolutely had some stinkers before. Not nearly as frequent as some of the State of Plays but still

 

at least even the "bad" Directs have some weird left field shit in them.

I feel like my expectations for these things are way lower than most peoples. I thought it was ok. Tchia day one on PS Plus, Baldurs Gate local co-op and RE4 were all good.

 

The last Microsoft and Nintendo “events” were pretty damn cool.

Im excited for RE4, Wayfinder and SS.

 

Forza Motorsport alone was worth the price of admission for the last MS thing.

 

We never got another Stadia Direct :/

If you don't like it, don't watch it? I don't know how anyone could complain about an optional streaming event that some people might find some interest in and complain it could have been an email LOL. I had it on in the background at work and got some enjoyment out of it, and now it's over and I'm moving on. Some crazy overreactions in here.

Super excited for Baldur's gate. I played early access on PC but didn't get far but will definitely pick it up and binge it on PS5. I sank like 70 hours in DOS2.

Foundation, Before your Eyes and Synapse looked like wildly different VR experiences, but all potentially cool in their own right. Probably won't buy a VR headset anytime soon though. I have the quest 2 and it's infrequently used so I don't need to add another until something AMAZING and exclusive comes out.

The suicide squad game did nothing for me but I'm sure it'll be huge and probably pretty well reviewed and liked. Harley Quinn may be one of the most annoying characters created in any median to me so I'm probably not the target demographic.

 

The best way to handle state of plays is to not watch them and be pleasantly surprised if you see something cool that was revealed when you check twitter an hour later.

Sony hasn’t had a proper showcase in a year and a half so the big one we’re getting around e3 time should be one for the ages by all accounts. The first real wave of the console generation is over, hardware is readily available in retail, and it’s time to see what the future slate of huge titles looks like.
