2064: Read Only Memories: I finished the epilogue, Endless Christmas, which didn't really tie up any loose ends, so much as just hint at the direction the characters and the world are gonna go. There is a sequel, Neurodiver, that's in the works, and I can't wait.

Anyway, I still have plenty I'm gonna wrap up in the game, but I'm going to wait until next weekend to try to get the rest of the achievements. And so I decided to try some other stuff...

20XX: I played a bit of this using Cheat Happens to give me invincibility because I was itching for a straightforward Mega Man style platformer. Unfortunately I happened to pick up a power-up in the last level that brought my attack down to 1HP per shot, so I decided to quit.

Judging from the vast number of achievements I didn't unlock, I'm guessing the replay value lies in the procedurally-generated levels and the rogue-like nature of the gameplay. I'm not too sure how down I am to dive into it like that, I just wanted to blast some baddies, but we'll see.

Arc Of Alchemist: This is a Switch game from Idea Factory, the masterminds behind Neptunia. It seems like a pretty straightforward action-RPG, but man, the graphics are PS2-quality and the camera system leaves a lot to be desired. There's more I can say about this game, but I want to play it a bit more to firm up my thoughts on it.

 

I checked out 20XX and according to TA it has a ratio of 4.2 which is really tough. Essentially 958 people started it and only 23 have finished it. The trailer looks very cool and I love the music. Going down a PS4 indie rabbit hole?

 

I don't own a PS4, so I guess it's just a rabbit hole.

 

Not yet. It takes place after Dressrosa and I’m actually halfway through reading the arc now.

 

AOA is legitimately the only game from idea factory I do not own cause that game does that look good at all to me

to be fair, the way I understand it is, that this isn't as much a comment on the quality of the game, rather on wanting to 100% it, which is still a fair heads up for at least one person here

That games just looks corny man. Idk, since I’ve burned out on Apex I have only been playing my Switch. The last non-Switch game besides Apex I played was Elden Ring.

 

I'm on that XC3 & Metroid & Bayonetta life bro, just taking a break to do some Returnal because I am stress addict.

 

I went from XC3 to Persona 5 to Pokémon to Fire Emblem Engage. I finished XC3 and Pokemon. I didn't finish Persona 5. Something about the pacing of that game just makes me burn out on it. I'm planning to go back to it though, maybe after Fire Emblem, or Zelda, depending on when I finish Fire Emblem.

 

yeah I also was quite bored by P5 but that's not something I am super confident saying here because I will get owned and transform into a corncob.

 

Like, I only played a little, but the gameplay loop feels like it's going to be tedious. I'll elaborate more when I have more time and I've played a little more.
