Why even waste money on the plastic? The beginning of the end of Physical.

 

Companies have been doing this for years and it's always been stupid.

 

Yeah, I mean, other than maybe deluxe/limited editions or some kind of cool promotional stuff, I don’t see a reason for physical to go on much longer.

 

UT2004 was on five discs iirc. I have physical everything except games. Unfortunate but understandable

 

I think there’s definitely a lot of cool ways they could still make people feel like they have some kind of souvenir for having the game but at the same time, a lot of companies will probably just cut costs and not do shit. No poster, no figure, no wallpaper, just a plain e-mail lol

 

I’m sure it will transition to in game items for deluxe editions, preorders, etc. Which a lot of games do anyway.

 

My favorite “pre-order items” are when it’s a lame exclusive but you still have to use the in-game currency to get it lol

 

Or it’s an item everyone can get an hour into the game.
