i enjoyed the quests and the branching paths/consequences

i really feel like bethesda games dont do that. whatev i wasnt trying to be controversial i guess people can ignore me if they want haha.

Started Somerville last night (that new game made by the guy that did Inside and Limbo). Seems very similar to the other games but now it's 3D, which I think actually works against it. The movement is so slow and janky and the camera perspective is confusing. Story seems interesting though.

 

Playing lots of stuff right now but threw FF4 pixel RM in there and i’ve played it to death but hearing all the new renditions of the soundtrack truly make it a new and fun experience

 

best battle/overworld themes in the series imo

 

there are reports going around that Bungie disabled Destiny 2 working on Steam Deck even while running Windows. Those reports are false.

Just a heads up.

I loved Fallout 4 just as much as I loved Outer Worlds

 

Just beat Plague Tale: Requiem. I realized something during this game, that I enjoy games more when I'm able to play in big chunks (2+ hours at a time). When I started this game I played maybe 30min to an hour every few days, during which I struggled to like it and enjoy it. But the last part of the game I finished two days in a row with big chunks of 3 hours.

In short, being an old married man seems to have made it harder to enjoy story driven games.

Back to the Plague Tale, the graphics, world building and some "set pieces" were pretty astonishing. There was a short section in one of the later chapters where millions of rats are flying everywhere, castle walls are crumbling and you're shooting fire. During this there is zero slow down. Pretty incredible. The puzzles didn't seem to challenge me much this time around, and it didn't seem to rely as much on the rats and using fire to avoid the dark like the previous game. It was a lot more story and action oriented. Definitely worth a play through.

 

I have all the fallouts downloaded on my Xbox right now and outer worlds
