It may seem that way from an outside perspective but it's really not that. There is actually a great story that really connects all the characters with some pretty deep and heartfelt things going on. It is really cool to see the characters timeline from one through five and how they have aged and includes them all alongside the new generation.

 

So after someone in this thread mentioned it a few times, I downloaded Marvel Snap. Instantly addicted. But I've noticed something - I never lose. Like, it's weird. This article talks about it a bit as well -

I disagree with the sentiment from the article though. Surely it can't be put down to just playing children? I play at times throughout the day and it's the same. Surely it's cause I'm playing bots or something?

This isn't a brag btw, I'm genuinely curious what is going on.

I don’t think at this point anyone should commit to fives games unless they really like one of them, and the one they should pay to find out if they really like it should not be Gears 1, because, like I said, is has design flaws that none of the others have, remaster or no

I always skip to the end of a mystery, so I can go back and make fun of the protagonist as they stumble about.

 

my brother sent me a $70 Playstation credit for my birthday with the instruction to buy either COD MW2 or God of War 2. I was planning on getting GOW anyway so maybe I will get COD since friends are currently playing it and I won't have to spend my own money on it

It is kind of wild to me that people who like video games today can be like 'wtf is Gears of War' - that shit was everywhere...15 years ago! Makes me feel old!

Series really lost it's steam and place in the market when they took 5 years between Gear of War 3 and 4

 

Idk those games do pretty well still, it’s not like its a dead franchise

For sure, but they aren't super culturally relevant even in terms of video games - it's wild to me but at the same time it totally makes sense that people might not know what Gears of War is in 2022 when it's peak was a little less than 15 years ago. It's hayday was with the Xbox 360. Maybe this show will change that. Idk what kind of impact it's had on game sales and popularity but The Witcher has done well for itself on Netflix.
