lol It was more or less the same experience for me. Finally did it, though. Feeling pretty good right now.

That damageless flower delivery quest is terrible though. You get all the way to the end and then it's just so many spikes in the final room.

 

Marvel Snap is a pretty fun game to boot

 

alright finally got the boss down from cyrus's chapter 2. doing ophellia's now and my main (therion) is now level 30 lol. also everyone i roll with has their secondary job besides ophellia.

 

game is fantastic.

Gotham Knights really does not hold your hand like at all. Only played a couple of hours so far but it's been a bit hard to get into. Hopefully it'll start to pick up after a few more hours

 

Supposedly it’s a pretty easy completion.

 

octopath traveler is so good. finally feeling powerful again lol but I know once I move on to chapter 3 I’ll have to grind again. my plan now is to do all 4 stories of my main party, then replay as one of the characters I don’t use and make the other 4 my main party and do all their stories eventually

Yeah some of the chapter 3 bosses are major difficulty spikes. Alfyn's specifically comes to mind.

Also I TLOU Part 1 remake (and TLOU2) is easily going to be one of my favorite games of the year. I had never played either other than starting the PS4 remaster over year ago without making it out of the first QZ.

Finished the both a few weeks ago and I still think about them a lot and would absolutely start another play through again soon if I didn’t have other stuff to finish/catch up on. Easily one of the best video games experiences I’ve had since getting my PS5.

 

Rolled credits on Ghost of Tsushima, which really shined in the second and third acts. Will probably try to finish some camps and side quests while waiting for Ragnarok.

I'm very intrigued by this. What is the monetisation like? And are the ads intrusive? Is it essentially a bit like Top Trumps of putting cards down and highest number wins?

 

no ads as far as I've seen, very little microtransaction type of things. There's an optional $10 season pass thing but I haven't bought it.

 

God of War reviews drop today. Curious to see if it can top Elden Ring critically for 2022.

No ads, monetisation isn’t egregious cause it’s pretty much just for cosmetic variants of the cards and no pay to win stuff. Basically there are three locations for you to play your cards, whoever wins two of the three locations wins the game. Each game is six turns, about three minutes per game. Every card has a cost level to play the card and a power level for dishing out points, and locations and cards will all have their specific gimmick. For example, one location’s gimmick might be -2 power points for every card played at that location, or each card in your costs one less point to play. Cards for example will have gimmicks like for every card your opposition has at this location, earn +1 power. It’s a lot about trying to guess what your opponent is going to play and where are they going to play their cards.
