Now y’all have no excuse to not play Nioh 2

 

Wild Hunt and Inquisition are the best fantasy open world rpgs I've played. Only things that come close are HZD and FO4 (which I prefer ever so slightly over NV but I'm probably in the minority) which are technically sci-fi.

 

Is there a version of the steamdeck that’s more like a console? I feel like I probably wouldn’t play it portable anyway

The last console I had before switch was ps3 and that fan noise annoyed the shit out of me lol

 

id be curious to see people who have played it discuss that

similarly everyones experienced that sort of thing with a game like Skyrim

 

I also loved Darksiders 3 and Prey

 

1. maybe pre built moderate gaming PCs are affordable again these days

2. maybe a jailbroken xbox can run steam os

 

here?

 

Skyrim (or Fallout) at least has this cycle, like Majora’s Mask but fancier. The NPCs have a “life”. Or rather you feel like the rest of the game world is running along while you aren’t looking. In The Witcher it feels like it isn’t.

 

oh really? interesting.

you know actually that goes a long way. part of why Elder Scrolls was so forward thinking 15 years ago. but the next step hasnt been taken yet and its beyond time. id say immersiveness is a top issue with games for me today.

Still think FO4 is underrated. Great game

 

I'd spend hours on settlements. FO4 was my Animal Crossing

 

The weapon crafting/upgrade system was cool too

 

I just realized that Suicide Squad still hasn’t come out yet.

Witcher 3 does not remotely stumble toward the end, tbh things don’t really get going until you hit Novigrad about 15 hours in

 

Inquisition is absolutely the best fantasy rpg of that era but no one else will admit it

 

speaking of

 

I took two weeks off work because I was tired and my dunbass ended my vacation right before god of war comes out

 

Quoting to preserve "dunbass" as evidence CobraKid might still be tired.

 

It’s not even tired I’m just lazy at this point

 

popped into a couple games of overwatch 2 on my switch and my god it runs like shit but also it’s just the same game it always was with a battle pass progression system lol
