  1. I've avoided essentially EVERYTHING about this game so I’m super excited because I’m not typically able to do that.
The setting was definitely the biggest draw to me.

I know almost nothing about it except for like a snippet of a trailer and screenshots.

I thought it was the best version of an open world game I've ever played for a number of reasons but it being open world still made it the worst 3D Zelda for me.

That stuff is still there to an extent, though you now can toggle a lot of it, but it is more integrated into the world building and it is definitely not the focus of the game anymore. They're not checklist-y games anymore. They're a lot more like say The Witcher 3 than they are like old Assassin's Creed.

Why do people always post Famitsu scores, isn't that magazine all about payola? Or is that ancient history?

I don't know about those stories or anything, but you'd have to imagine they'd have a lot more perfect scores if it were still happening.

Apparently they did a similar thing with Death Stranding.

Some people online were talking about how in Japan the magazine is generally respected, but the reviews are never taken seriously. Very interesting. Thanks for bringing this to my attention.

I see a 35/40 from Famitsu and think wow is the game really that bad?

I don't like the protagonist design they went with, but it's a good game so I'll give the anime a shot maybe.

Sony is said to have begun PS5 mass production in June and "under the latest plan, expects to assemble 5 million units by the end of September and another 5 million between October and December."

Not all 10 million may make it to store shelves in 2020, however, as logistical delays may delay a percentage of the PlayStation 5 consoles to 2021.

I'm actually enjoying Far Cry 5 quite a bit. It doesn't do a whole lot that's new or innovative, but it's pretty good for what it is. Also, flying airplanes into explosive grain silos is a good time.

Honestly this matters more to me than most of the reviews I've seen from the West. If the Japanese audience think that the studio added an expert level of care and authenticity to the Japanese setting and era, that's what I want to know.
