I have heard great and not so great things. Maybe it will be a divisive one.

You won’t play it anyways. You’ll make an excuse for why it wouldn’t meet your standards.

It would be a lot cooler if the LEGO NES actually played NES games.

Sure, but like they would ever allow that to exist.

jokes aside the game looks up my alley and I hope it’s good whether I play it or not

also some of my disqualifying standards are if it’s on a console I don’t own lol

Memories are nice, but that's all they are. Prestigious

I'm so excited to play it

I'm in the middle of Odyssey right now which was probably not a great idea to start that right before it lol

It looks like the open world of Ghost is way more manageable than Odyssey. Seems like it’s a good size but not too big.

I think open world games in general need to take more of a lesson from what Rocksteady back did in Arkham City: even a smaller-sized open world can feel huge and engrossing provided it is densely packed with points of interest and unique things to do. We don’t need every game world to be as big as Greece in Odyssey or Egypt in Origins.

I enjoyed Odyssey a lot but it’s world felt way emptier and more lifeless to me than that open world from 2011, despite it being a fraction of the size, for that reason.

I’m replaying GTAV right now and having similar thoughts, a lot of games could learn from how almost every single corner of this map is detailed and interesting and unique.

I think Odyssey’s world is pretty incredible tbh especially if you care about that era

Plus it usually didn’t stretch out quest lines across the world, so really the different areas were little open worlds

Smaller world for sure. 1/3 the size of V would be nixe.

Yakuza still does "open world" the best.

I don't understand? Hub world is like Demon's Souls. Yakuza is open world, but instead open cities because you can travel between Kamurocho and Osaka, both have tons of places to visit, things to do like bowling, darts, arcades, missions, street fights, etc.

It's exactly the same just on a smaller scale because you're traveling by foot the whole time.

I much rather have that then a Horizon Zero Dawn (which has an awful waypoint system) where I'm traveling for like ten minutes at a time between locations just for the sake of the world being big.

How about just open city games instead?

That makes it a lot simpler to explain.
