despite my intent to grind end game a bit I do think I’m gonna wind down on wilds until we get some updates which means it’s time to pick a main game to focus on. I was gonna pick up xenoblade 2 again but my switch is dead and my steam deck is fully charged. Pentiment it is

 

Death Stranding 2 looks so sick and June is coming up FAST

 

AC Origins is a very good game. Having a blast with this setting and I love how they revealed the animus connection

Yeah......I could've sworn I e was the 20th and one was the 24th but they're both showing the 20th for me now. Well I know Amazon will have AC to me on release date and Walmart most likely won't have Xenoblade shipped to me by the 20th so I guess I'll only AC first. But y'all digital purchasers......choices choices lol.

 

Some games I have played recently:

LEGO Batman 3: Not as good as 2, but overall a decent game. Is that all the Lego games are, though? I don't see much artistic point in slapping your branding and a smirking sense of humor on everything.

Borderlands 3: Slightly more story driven, but that isn't much when it still has the worst thrown away mid-2000's Family Guy jokes.

Wattam: Takahashi probably won't beat Katamari Damacy in his lifetime, but it is so nice to be able to play a game that feels as free and auteur-driven as a painting or a novel. As games coalesce more and more around particular control schemes and play styles, Takahashi made a game where you can just run around eating fruits and defecating as much as you want.

Paper Mario: The 1000 Year Door HD Remake: Could it possibly live up to all the stories and legends I had heard? Of course not. It is never as complex or as deep as a "real" RPG, so it limits how much satisfaction you can have in building a party or coming up with ways to power yourself up. However, it is definitely the best of the console Mario RPG's, and the lightness of the story and Nintendo's self-referential humor in these games is fun enough. It was surprisingly hard at times, requiring constant thinking about the unique powers of your teammates and how they respond to the world. It does give you a lot of freedom to try different things; for a while I was just hyping up the crowd with my teammate while Mario used the area effect star powers to get out of a jam, but then I could switch to using the bomb man as a tank with Mario in support. I don't know what the remake changed, but why is the underground sewers of the maze town so confusing?

 

I was the phone person and my brother and I were cry laughing through the whole thing

there was another moment where we turned into a farm animal and then became.... something else. I can't remember the last time I laughted that hard at a game. both had to pause and collect ourselves.

 

I was actually supposed to play split fiction with someone in this community and they never showed up and didn't even reach out they wouldn't so... yeah.

 

I want to state for the record that it wasn't me I don't own Split Fiction

Everyone else is still a suspect

 

I never played it until this port and had heard so much hype I was disappointed. It's deff fun but also was tedious at times. Fuck those underground sewers.

 

Okay, Odyssey got too convoluted for me too quick, i didn't know who to kill and didnt understand why people wanted to kill me and everyone felt like damage sponges. Sooooo I went back to Valhalla and god damn it's my fav AC for sure.

 

I bought a physical copy yesterday but haven’t played it yet, marking myself safe from ghosting mesc

 

Also, I know this thread can get a bit judgemental at times but i'm just gonna own it

I bought the double xp buff for 10 bucks in Valhalla

 

thankfully my friend who was on the fence (who I played ITT with) came through in the end but it's just not a nice feeling.

it's not a super regular poster here so I'm not trying to point fingers, I'm just bad at direct confrontation :')

I wanna play split fiction with my brother but he has a pc from 2016 and a ps4 and absolutely refuses to upgrade either for some reason
