My cousin worked at Monolith on those LOTR games. They were so much fun. Really bummed about this one

You ever notice Monolith never did trilogies? They made two games and moved on to something else. Just a pattern I noticed.

WB shutting them down is wild. Someone buy them please. I don't even care who it is.

 

Back in the day Monolith also gave us Blood, imo the finest Build engine game to ever exist. Tragic.

 

I don’t think BioWare gets shut down until after mass effect unless something goes horribly terribly wrong with that development

 

Anyone play Eternal Strands?? It got a demo everywhere except PS so I'm unable to try it out. Looks interesting.

It's mid. Like there's nothing super wrong about it but it doesn't feel like much of anything sadly. I'd wait for another, bigger, update.

and Mass Effect is never coming out if you ask me.

 

It has a better shot at coming out than silksong

If i’m Sony i’m looking at Monolith as a ready made and assembled team adept at making AAA single player action games and snatch them up, I imagine if they have any sense they’re going to rebound from the live service disaster they created by doubling down on the tried and true single player stuff they’re known for.
