I prefer Blind Forest but WW looks infinitely better.

they each share the same DNA but have different playstyles imo. Blind Forest is less combat and more movement focused, Will of the Wisps added a bit more to expand the combat. playing in order is the right move and both are great games.

That Xbox series X at $349 is super tempting.

On one hand there's really nothing I wanna play at the moment that's exclusive. Except maybe starfield.

On the other hand I feel there will be plenty of exclusives between now and next holiday when I assume it would come back down to this price. Avowed, Fable (maybe), Hellblade, whatever else A/B and Bethesda puts out.

chill we’re getting avowed the pillars universe is just as lore heavy and much more interesting imo pillars one is one of the best games I’ve ever played in terms of sheer world building

finally came back to this game after quite a while. still very fun!
i really wish there were more of these, esp after Fury Road, they could've developed that so much more

Question for Xbox ppls.

So I see replacing the internal memory isn't as easy as the PS5. Or cheap. I see that expensive expansion card. I also see Walmart has some Seagate external hard drives. Then target has this WD Black Western Digital Black P10 Game Drive For Xbox 2tb External Usb 3.2 Gen 1 Portable Hard Drive - Black With White Trim : Target.

Am I correct in understanding from what I'm reading, the expansion card is the easiest but more expensive, while getting an external hard drive is cheaper but there's some caveats. Like if I wanna play a game that's optimized for the series x and it's on the external, I have to swap that to the internal drive? How quick is that? What if my internal is already full, and my external too and I'd like to swap locations? Would I have to end up fully deleting one to make space for the other and redownload it?


Also, regarding game pass. I saw on one site there's 4 tiers, core, console, PC and ultimate. But when I go to the Xbox site I only see 2 for the series x. Ultimate and core. Is there not a "console" tier? Basically I don't care about playing multiplayer online, I plan on this being mainly a machine for first party exclusives so I'd like to get a tier that gets those day 1 and the hundreds of games.

 

The storage I am not sure about (I just delete shit now), but I think it is indeed as clumsy as your worst case scenario. @Nate_Johnson probably knows.

Regarding GamePass: I’m not sure how the PC ties into it, but on console you have indeed two tiers: Core (maybe it is called Console on the Xbox, but it doesn’t matter) and Ultimate. Ultimate comes with the EA service (forgot the name, but it’s like EA GamePass) attached to it as well as Xbox Live Gold (which means you can play paid games - including those on GamePass - online). So Ultimate has more games because of the EA thing, and if you want to play GamePass games online it makes sense too, because Gold is included, BUT if you do not want to play online (or only play free games like Apex Legends or Fortnite online) and do not care about the games EA has on their thing, then Core is better.

I THINK that if you get Ultimate, you technically also have PC GamePass, but I am not sure.

Yeah the storage expansion is definitely a lot worse on Xbox. I have both the Series S and the PS5 and it’s definitely a lot cheaper to get a 2tb ssd on there than to get a 2tb expansion card.

In regards to external storage, as long as you pick up a rather fast external hard drive, the actual transfer speeds are quite quick. I could do about an 80gb game transfer from the external to the built in hard drive in about 10-15 minutes or so.

 

Fall 2026 for Wolverine seems too far away. They have 2 teams. It really should be next year or early 2025 (someone who used to stream on twitch and works for insomniac has been working on the game for at least the past 2 years)

 

Not really. They are starting that game from the ground up, whereas their ratchet and spidey games have plenty to pull from
