I've been playing Slay the Spire with the "don't pick up a card at every opportunity" mentality and I still keep losing. Maybe a streak of bad luck, or I just suck lolol. This game has always been more about pulling random shenanigans for me anyway. If I can throw five 16dmg shivs at a boss in a single turn I consider that a successful run

I have the most luck with the Defect character. Always having a little bit of block each turn is super helpful and they have a good number of attacks that cost 0 which you can stack up. But I feel you. I've probably done 40-50 runs and beat it once haha

I am in no way trying to defend Embracer when I say this, but I can't imagine how it must've felt for them to have the funding they were clearly relying on pulled out from under them.

That billion dollar deal falling through clearly had immediate and lasting ramifications, and it's just really unfortunate that it's the employees that are suffering for it.

I've said this before, but what they should have done was secure the money first before acquiring all those studios, but then again, maybe the logic was having all that talent would convince investors of the value.

I'm sure it's hard to secure an investment without tangible proof of worth. But this is why I'm not a businessman.
