I mean if I WANTED to spend my time doing the stuff I would enjoy it too haha. But I'm trying to speed through the story to get caught up. After this is 6, Gaiden, 7 and 8 and the judgement games.

Like one chapter, in order to progress the main story I HAD to beat a guy in a game of pool. I applaud it for making every single character literally be their own style though, that's dedication haha. In addition to the multitude of side content there always is, making it mandatory I'm sure pulled people in at the time. Like the hunting chapter where you are in the snow you have to manage your warmth meter by eating meat, having supplies for building a campsite, tracking animals, hunting with a rifle and setting traps.....like I COULD get lost in this game mode super easily but......story!!!

Like I said before, while I may have issues at times, I'm always impressed how they seem to build on each previous game before it. If they're doing all this I have no idea what's in store for 6. I kinda see why they went to turn based with 7.....they must have ran out of ideas lol.

 

Trust me ITS WILD.

Like Yakuza games are all about fighting, well the idol chapter, the girl doesn't fight. Her battles are ..... RHYTHM GAME DANCE OFFS.

 

Found some of the other chapters tedious but I really liked Haruka's chapter! Having dance battles replace street fights was such a fun concept, and some of those idol songs are ridiculously catchy.

 

Yeah I liked that there were no random battles every 5 feet, it was nice having a slow change of pace. I did however get further into the story last night, after events happened I got to round 2 and am about to be in the finals. The story uhhh definitely picked up LOL. Damn Yakuza, knowing how to sink their hooks into me and drag me right for a ride....was NOT expecting things to go that way haha.

Ya know, back when the games went from kiryu PoV to multi PoV I had my doubts but over the last couple of games I've really come to love this cast.

Yeah I think all these games have so many mini games you can spend hundreds of hours and get lost playing just them. Darts WAS fun. I'm just......trying to get caught up on the series lol. I'm sure once I get to 7 or 8 I'll allow myself to get sidetracked.

Honestly I’m very ok with that. Gives me time to start Origins which I downloaded recently

 

On one hand I'm glad because that'll give me more time for Veilguard and maybe metaphor now, but on the other....AC is one of my most anticipated of the year so I'm bummed to miss out now. I wonder if it was some game breaking bug or it's super unpolished or what.
