You can play Outlaws already with Ubisoft+ so I'm diving in right now.

How have they not tried to update this for today? I’d kill for a game like this again. Might try to dig everything out of storage and see if my 360 will still start up lol

 

A modern version would probably be a Jackbox style game

That story just confirms my long standing belief that people named Cody or variants of Cody are all douchebags. Also, as a disabled person, it genuinely enrages me that people want to use disabilities to lie and deceive others for selfish and self-serving reasons while plenty of actual disabled people struggle daily in an ableist world built against them.

 

I’ve got one of those pesky disabilities you can’t see so people love to tell me I’m not disabled

 

Which has nothing to do with anything I just have to vent about it sometimes

 

The IGN article actually makes a great point that people who try to push for inclusion get attacked by the toxic sectors of the gaming community, so maybe it's possible this began as someone trying to do work under a pseudonym that got out of control.

It's tough because they clearly did do a lot of good work and I would hate for that to be overshadowed by this bizarre twist. I'd like to believe that their heart was in the right place.

 

I agree in principle that ultimately, they were trying to do a good thing and did do good things but I also feel like it’s made redundant by their dishonesty too. Like if they’re gonna fabricate an entire person and their life story, what else are they being dishonest about? How can I view them as an actual ally or activist for disabled people if that’s the actions they choose to accomplish their goals?

 

I also edited my original post because I learned that the person is in fact non-binary and even though I’m not happy with them, I’m not gonna be disrespectful and misgender them either.

 

I have some doctors that even treat me like this. Lol

 

But that story is wild. I look forward to the true crime doc streaming next week
