My brothers 16th birthday is Wednesday and I wanna get him a game. It has to be on Xbox since he only really plays his series x these days even tho he has a switch and pc he told me unless I get him an Xbox game he probably won’t play it. The kid is obsessed with Rainbow Six Seige but has played a good amount of other games: Elden Ring, Hollow Knight, Batman Arkham Knight, both Ori games, Undertale and Hades are some of his favorites. I need to find something that’s not on gamepass that I think he would like. I was considering Dark Souls 3 or Sekiro but also thinking about Prince of Persia The Lost Crown which I got my older brother into as well. Any other ideas?

 

What the fuck was literally every version of that game type then? I had no idea that Bloodborne was beloved by children.

 

Starfield was fine from what I remember but I don’t feel any desire to ever go back to it. Maybe I’ll check out the DLC when it comes out but idk.

 

Last night was the first time I tried any of the side content in cyberpunk and I also got into the body mod stuff more. Turns out this game actually rules. Wandering around a GTA style map with Witcher 3 like encounters is very fun and there seems to be a lot of powerful builds you can work towards.

 

this 9 Shadows boss is too hard, and more importantly the fact that your ammo and health are the same bar is really fucking stupid. might have to drop this game, which is a first for me w metroidvanias. i always tried to beat the game even if it got super frustrating but this just plays so clunky and an unfairly balanced boss really brings those issues to the forefront. i've dropped rogues due to difficulty before and i was fine with that but this just makes me sad

 

Guy probably thinks From games are woke. I guarantee that's the long and short of it.

 

I’ve been breezing through most of Remnant 2 thus far but this Venom boss is a huge pain in the ass. I could probably get it but I’m exhausted from work and after half an hour of trying my attempts are getting too sloppy.

 

Balatro is working it's way back into my life.

Also still very early in Steam World Heist II but it's sick.

Just started Cult Of The Lamb. Are any of the DLCs worth it, or is it mainly cosmetic stuff?

The two Jedi games would be my top recommendation.

 

I second the 2 Jedi games. Titanfall 2 has a good campaign and probably still has a semi active MP if he’s into shooters.

Eh I don’t think he’d like that and at that point I may as well just get him dead space remake. I don’t mind getting him a full price game anyway. But I think Jedi survivor is a good one
