It's free and you stockpile primos! It's crazy how good of a free game it is. 460 hours and there's always something to do. I did stop playing at Sumeru, I just did the MSQ and logged in for events but that giant ass region is still fully unexplored. I was not a fan of the desert back then.

 

for what it’s worth, and perhaps it ain’t much, but this is one of the very last threads on this website I actually enjoy participating in and go out of my way to post in when I wanna talk games. I despise the vast majority of the music forum, the rest of the entertainment forum just bores me to tears tbh, and the politics thread is something I do out of habit more than anything. I genuinely like posting in this thread and while it may be because video games have kind of taken over music as my main hobby I think for the most part the people who post in here are, mostly, good people with meaningful insight into video games

I think one reason why video games has become my number one fav thing is because I haven’t worked in the industry even if my experience in the music industry is minimal if you can even call it that I def experienced the phenomenon of your passion for something dying when it becomes a job

 

since im definitely posting through it tonight (I’m at my grandpa’s with only my phone) I would like to introduce the newest member of my family: Charli (because of course, all our cats are named after musicians).

everything I’ve seen of wilds has been…wild. people are complaining about some cancelling animations but tbh I think monster hunter could use a few moves you can cancel out of its not like every move has a cancel now it’s still a very high commitment combat system. the wound mechanic seems extremely interesting and from what I’ve seen of each weapon they’re taking the best of world and throwing in a dash of rise without going full crazy fast paced mobility that rise had. I’ve even seen some people referencing 4U and generations in some weapon styles we’ve seen but I haven’t played much before world besides a couple hours in the original to fuck around

 

the god damn free 5 star selector brought me back to genshin

 

I’ve only played rise, world, generations on switch and the RPG spinoffs but this is gonna be day one for me

I really wanna play stories and stories 2 soon. I have generations x on 3DS but I booted it once and the controls were horrible lmao I might try the switch port

 

Stories 1 is great but Stories 2 is a massive step up in everything obviously and generations on switch is a lot more comfortable than the 3DS version lol

 

Best thing is, it's gonna be a thing EVERY anni now.

I'm so glad there really hasn't been any new games I've bought in the past couple months. Been able to dedicate time towards gacha and backlog. This will be the first game I've bought in a good bit.

Everything I've seen of MH wilds looks like it'll be another cool Monster Hunter game but everything I've heard about it is that the trailers don't do it justice. Not sure what that means but I'm excited
