Its the fact that they make half the boss battles related to the car that makes it really shitty for me.

Prefacing this by saying I am absolutely not buying this game, but that's because of the shitty company making it, not because it's part of a genre that is pretty wide-ranging in what you can do within it.

I mean, sure, thousands of games boil down to third-person action. It's not exactly a very defining rigid genre, is it? Seems kind of silly to make that a knock against it.

Listen, it's the price we all pay for having an opinion. I pay it. You pay it. We all pay it.

I'm not trying to give you a hard time, but I dunno, there are a lot of third-person action games that come out all the time and are all really good?

It's not that I don't think I understand where you're coming from, there are a lot of games out there and it's hard to know where to put your money, but I don't think that's the fault of the games.

The games just want to be loved, sophos.

 

I actually don't think the word "combat" adds anything to it? Doesn't every third person action game have combat?

 

I enjoyed driving the Batmobile the first couple of times but it got stale quick. Then when you had full on tank battles it was just too much

I bought a pinball game called Demon’s Tilt and I HIGHLY recommend it if that’s your jam. It’s really, really fun. They have another one called Xenotilt and supposedly that’s awesome as well.

 

They're spiritual successors to the old TurboGrafx games Devil's Crush and Alien Crush, both of which I recommend seeking out.

 

Hey so I mentioned a while back that my brother got me a VR headset and I've been playing BeatLabs, basically a Beat Saber knock off with user submitted maps. It's technically free but it pauses halfway through the song unless you purchase and enter a code on patreon or something. Anyway, I've been going through a lot of anime theme songs, something I don't think Beat Saber has, and I came across a compilation of Attack on Titan openings. using just TV versions (one minute thirty seconds each song) the thing was still fourteen minutes long! And I didn't even recognize a few of them haha. It sounds silly to exercise to video games when I have a basketball hoop, a boxing bag, a stationary bike, and roller skates, so many alternatives, but ever since I got this headset, I don't think I've been so active in months. And my mom says I swing my hands around looking like a crazy person
