Player's Log: Batman: The Brave And The Bold (Wii version)

Finished the game and it was a ton of fun. Only four episodes long, sadly, and then you get a 10-round brawler fight commentated by Bat-Mite, which was meh. But the episodes themselves were the bee's knees.

It's always interesting seeing Batman out of his element, both in teaming up with other heroes and in fighting villains outside his normal scope. The first episode had Robin and fighting Catman and Catwoman, but later episodes involve villains like Grodd and Mongul and team-ups with Blue Beetle, Hawkman, and (retch) Guy Gardner.

I remember when this show came out I was still fully annoyed that Batman: The Animated Series had ended. My thought was if they're going to make a Batman cartoon anyway, why not stick with the best? I also wasn't fond of the idea of doing a more camp Batman cartoon.

Anyway, still not knowing what the cartoon was like, I enjoyed the banter in this game. Batman was less serious, but he wasn't totally out of his typical character either, and was more like the straight man playing against his less serious partners, or in Hawkman's case, playing the awestruck fanboy to his elder, which was also refreshing.

I wish this game had been longer, but I guess I still have the DS version to replay, once I figure out how to get those codes working.

Still want to get more achievements in Wendy too. I want to also finish all the non-Steam WayForward games first, so I think the next game I go for might be another DS title: Aliens: Infestation. Played a bit of it way back, never finished it, but I've always heard good things about it.

Oh shit, I also totally forgot I intended to do a second run of Sigma Star Saga this weekend. Whoops! Oh well, I guess that's also on my plate.

You have an opportunity to not play a gacha. What do you do. What. Do. You. Do.

bravely default 2: the further I get into this game the more in awe I am at the depth of its job system. the difficulty curve seems to level off a little bit because I’m now easily taking down mobs with a red outline which signals I’m a lower level but I don’t die at all anymore, at least not right now again these bosses can just stomp you if you aren’t ready for them but yeah it’s just getting better and better as I play and I’m beginning to really love the four main characters and the world as a whole

mad max: this game has an addicting combat system and fantastic looking open world, I think the voice acting is atrocious and the plot is paper thin but does it matter when you have car combat that goes this hard? I think not. only problem is it can’t seem to hold my attention for more than half an hour at a time. I do one or two missions then my brain needs something else. I think the drab color palette has something to do with it

sonic frontiers: I admit when this came out I was a hater who thought it looked unfinished and refused to pay full price luckily I got it for dirt cheap on a sale and it’s actually a pretty solid Sonic game I didn’t realize how much of the game takes place in more traditional Sonic levels and not just the open world zones which I admit aren’t exactly the most satisfying pieces of content but I think it’s good enough to have a positive outlook on this franchisss future

I feel like I have a ton of other CRPGs I should play before I do a second BG3 run including a second tyranny run since you really have to play that twice to see all of it and I only played it once

  15. Oh and Anjali Bhimani is also in this! She and Matt Mercer were both in Overwatch.

and Zehra Fazal! idk if she's been in anything with Matt, but she's had roles in She-ra, Borderlands 3, Thirsty
Suitors, and quite a few properties from DC, Disney, and Bethesda. I didn't realize until now that she's been in so many things I've seen/played. Her character in Indivisible is really, really pretty ahhhh

Looked it up and yes, he performs on four songs in the game. Tyler Smyth from Dangerkids also was involved with the same four songs.

Aw fuck. Piranha Bytes was a good fucking studio, plenty of classic eurojank titles. I really hope this isn't the last we see of their talent.

It's not. At least the founders started up a new company per the article.

Was with a friend at a BBQ over the weekend who was telling me to try First Descendant, played about 4 hours last night and had a good time! It's a fun grind and doesn't require too much focus. I've realized I'm just going to ignore everyone's opinions on free to play games and try myself because there is a demographic that will cry about them no matter what.
